LA cabbie Foxx, with dreams of starting his own limo service, gets more than he bargained for when he picks up contract killer Cruise, who needs to make five hits before the night is over. Enough unpredictability to make the simple plot interesting, though one can foresee where the finale is headed. Well-acted (by both Foxx and Cruise), stylish thriller, with director Mann's vision of night-time Los Angeles cool and arresting.
